Maple Hill Farm is a leader in alternative energy and green lodging services. A link on their website, MapleBB.com, describes the eco-friendly nature of this establishment. The largest solar energy system in Maine generates 15,000 watts of electricity plus most of the hot water needs of the facility, and there is also a wind turbine that generates up to an additional 10,000 watts. We are preserving 130 acres of rural farmland and have a menagerie of farm animals in the barn, cutting our hayfields to provide their winter feed. We are adjacent to 800+ acres of public wildlife management area, Jamie's Pond. We serve organic fair trade coffee, Maine-grown herbal teas, Maine maple syrup, and as much local food as possible. Our full-service meeting and event center is attached to the 8-room bed and breakfast.
